General Information
Vrsar is one of the major tourist centres on
the west coast of Istria. The town with its newly refurbished
marina lies between Porec and the Limski Canal and is home to 2650
inhabitants. As in many parts of Istria, both Croatian and Italian
are spoken.
There are many very pretty
islands, some of which are uninhabited and where the natural flora
and fauna abound. The jagged coastline means plenty of hidden bays
and small islands.
The area enjoys a typical
Mediterranean climate with 2300 hours sunshine on average per year. |
